Rugby Score Tracker

Keeping score at a rugby match? This free rugby score tracker works on any phone, tablet or computer. Enter the two team names, start the clock and tap a button each time someone scores. It adds up the points for you, counts down each half and swaps the teams over at half time.

How to use the rugby score tracker

  1. Type in both team names and the length of each half, then press Start match. Team 1 starts on the left.
  2. Press Start clock when the game kicks off. Pause it for injuries and stoppages.
  3. Tap Try, Conversion, Penalty goal or Drop goal for the team that scored. Tapped the wrong one? Use Undo last score.
  4. At half time press Half time: swap ends. The teams change ends on the pitch and the clock resets for the second half.
  5. Press Full time at the end to lock in the result.

Points in rugby union

  • Try: 5 points
  • Conversion: 2 points, kicked after a try
  • Penalty goal: 3 points
  • Drop goal: 3 points

For the full picture, read our guide to the rugby scoring system, or learn how a restart works in set pieces: scrums and lineouts.

The clock keeps running past zero and shows overtime, because rugby plays on to the next stoppage. Your match is saved on your own device, so refreshing the page or locking your phone will not lose it.
